Excessive memory consumption by mfeatp.exe

McAfee Endpoint Security (ENS) Adaptive Threat Protection (ATP) 10.5.4, 10.5.3
Problem
Memory consumption by mfeatp.exe continues to grow beyond 300 MB. mfeatp.exe is provided as part of ENS ATP.
Cause
This symptom can occur where the Threat Intelligence Exchange Server and Advanced Threat Defense components of the threat reputation ecosystem also exist. The leak we have identified and resolved occurs from WinHTTP/webio handles being created and not being released when Advanced Threat Defense interacts with these components.
Solution
This issue is resolved in Endpoint Security 10.5.4 June Update, which is available from the Product Downloads site at: http://mcafee.com/us/downloads/downloads.aspx. NOTE: You need a valid Grant Number for access. KB56057 provides additional information about the Product Downloads site, and alternate locations for some products. Updates are cumulative; Technical Support recommends that you install the latest one. Solution

Currently the only known workaround is to uninstall ATP.
